My son is going to be a senior this upcoming year and this past summer, he wanted to go to ASM Materials, Metallurgy, and Forensics Engineering Institute in Rapid City, SD. We reluctantly sent him, but were amazed at all the wonderful things he learned and did while he was there. He had hands-on learning in an educational environment about materials, metals, building and engineering. It was as if he has gone away for a semester of college. Go on daily nature hikes to track our "big" farm animals. . Learn how animals help make our work easier - which animals dig our garden and which help clear the land. Get geared up and ready to travel this summer! Each day, camp will field trip to various places throughout the suburbs such as to museums, parks, swimming pools, baseball games and more. During this general interest camp, campers will participate in a wide range of activities from bowling and roller skating to kick ball and candy making. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day. The Coding Champions will strive to understand the fundamentals of coding (such as sequences, conditionals, loops, etc.) so that we can solve challenging puzzles, create animated plays, and maybe even invent a game or app. Every potential coder sits somewhere on his/her path to coding glory.
