Ms Meshberger will be leading our youngest students dancing and leaping as they learn a range of pre-ballet and other dance and movement activities. Well you are all invited to come on the annual Youth Winter Retreat What if Jesus meant something very different by the concepts of heaven, hell and salvation from how we have been taught and understand them? Pastor Larry DeVuyst will lead us to tackle these questions and more as we work through our retreat study from Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, for Teens. As always there will be fun games, good food, and time with friends. Complete the retreat form found on WPC website youth page and turn it in to my mailbox with a check for $50 by 1/8. We need a count for food, games and supplies so please reserve your spot soon. Pick up the easy to read book from Pastor DeVuyst to read ahead. Craig Ranch Sports Camp Week 1 - Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch
This camp is a joint venture between Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch and the TPC at Craig Ranch. Brad Ott will utilize his 20+ years of golf training experience to teach children ages 7-16 the basics of golf. Fundamental learning will focus on full-swing (wedges, irons, and woods) and short game (putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker play). Campers will then move on to tennis under the guidance of Head Tennis Pro, Andrew Kaikai and his assistant. This class will lead players in drills to help their general strokes. This class is designed to introduce beginners to the game and improve playing ability through drills, activities, and fun games. After lunch, the campers will jump in Coopers Olympic-sized pool under the direction of Head Swim Pro, Patrick Kennedy and Swim Coach, Mike Howes. This class will serve as an introduction to teach your child the fundamentals or swimming through drills, activities, and fun games. Like riding your bike in the woods? Want to take your riding to the next level? Whether you ride all the time or just like to play in the woods, join our staff for a week of mountain bike riding at Loyola and area trails. Climb better and descend with more control. Learn how to shift more efficiently, brake properly and ride with more confidence. Additionally, we will cover basic bicycle and trail maintenance and develop an appreciation for the outdoors in a fun and safe environment. *While riding is our main focus in this camp, we realize that we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and should there be inclement weather additional activities may be deemed more appropriate. Mr. Keeney II and Mr. Glorioso have a combined 37 years experience in middle and high school teaching and run the Loyola Climbing Club.
