Recommended for children ages 7-11 years old. Have you ever made your own playdough, slime, or ice cream? Join us for this reactive workshop where we look at chemistry with ingredients found in most kitchens. Participants are guaranteed to get their hands messy as aspiring chemists combine, pour, and agitate various mixtures. Recipes for some of our creations will be provided. Ceramics 5 - Funky and Functional - Artists Exchange
Not everything functional has to be boring, right? A plate is a plate and a bowl is a bowl but in this week of camp, campers will learn to make functional things extraordinary! Roll, flatten, pinch, cut, and bend. Use traditional hand building techniques to make pottery that is funky functional and fantastic. Ceramics camps allow children to immerse themselves in clay studio studies ranging from basic hand building, wheel throwing, and sculpting. Campers will learn a variety of skills designed to fit the camp they are in. Ceramic focus campers will learn the technical aspects of recycling, slab work, build a simple kiln from a metal trash can and firing pottery in it. All under the guidance of a professional potter and the fire department. Clay adventures offers a beginners taste of experimenting with clay. Sculpting camps have a slight focus on bringing 2-D drawings and images of characters into 3-D form. 401-490-9475

In 2015, our summer basketball camp program received great appreciation for our in-depth and intense basketball skill development regiment. The boys & girls who attended enjoyed a 1:9 trainer/camper ratios. Current NBA player Alonzo Gee provided teaching and instruction to youth, and our athletes reported a 40% increase in endurance, shooting efficiency, ball-handling, and confidence. Since 2008, our program has worked with over 3,000 youth and been featured in the Palm Beach Post, NPR, Sun-Sentinel, NBC 6, and ESPN760. 2016 Camp Location: Grandview Prep School - 336 Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33431 Camp Hours: 9:00am - 3:30pm Camper Drop Off Monday, June 6th, 2016- 8:15 am - 9:00am | After Monday - 8:30am - 9:00am Important Check - In Procedure - All campers must be signed in and out daily by an adult with an TA site administrator.
