Latest Review for Camp Tecumseh

Amusement Camp
My kids were able to experience a lot of different things at Camp Tecumseh this summer. They have the usual camp activities, but they also have rock wall climbing, archery, riffly, tube slides, a nature center, candle making, disc golf, fishing and a mini farm. My kids had so many things to do that they ran out of time. They had the time of their lives and they can’t wait to go back next summer! This was an excellent camp that I know we’ll be... Read More...

SC2016: Life Under a Rock Week - Sanibel Flagship Campus
Oh the things that live under rocks! If you only knew what cool creatures are under there, youd never snorkel in more than a foot of water again! Well spend a week turning over rocks to see what teeny-tiny creatures we can find living in the ocean. Marine worms, tiny crabs, tiny crustaceans and nudibranchs and all kinds of algae. Well bring some rocks to our tanks to watch more closely. Well leave no rock unturned. And since were talking about the highly prized wave zone (in wavier places), well crash around in our own splash zone and compete for space to imagine where a limpet or barnacle is supposed to go when all the rocks are full. Future Robot Creator - United Faith Christian Academy
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors and motors, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply snapping bricks together, campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Robot models include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. When ready, campers move to advanced building and programming projects that include: a Racecar, Ferris wheel, and Carousel. As the week draws to a close, campers can utilize the skills they have learned to build an X-wing fighter or Marine helicopter. Parents are invited to join us on Fridays Family Day to view their childs creations. Campers will also complete a small LEGO® project that they will be able to take home. 7047743016.0
