We will be playing games and instruments in this melodic camp. Using patterned text from childrens songs and poems, we will actively "do music" while gaining stronger literacy skills. You will experience many literacy components such as syllabication, phonics, and rhyming. We will use pictures and context clues to decode new vocabulary. On Saturday 24th, in connection with National Public Lands Day, Mansfield State Historic Site is hosting an “immersive” event that will allow you to experience what many of the soldiers of the American Civil War did. Be enlisted, set up your camp, drill, enjoy a period type lunch, and more! There are 15 slots available for this program and pre-registration is required. Registration is $25 (paid on day of program) for each child, which includes the meal. The last day for Pre-Registration is September 17th.
