Wildheart Juniper Jedis know how to tap into the invisible web of interconnectedness and travel through the woods without being noticed. Students will learn the art of silently stalking animals and people. In addition, they will practice listening closely to the Earth Force. Camouflage is essential for all Juniper Jedis and we will spend a good deal of our time practicing this skill of becoming invisible. Each participant will leave the camp with a complete camouflage kit, which will enable them to quickly blend in to their surroundings, no matter what the situation. Additionally, students will develop their ability to understand the language of the birds, giving them a birds-eye-view of their surroundings and informing them what their prey is up to, as well as any nearby predators. All of this and well still have time to play and enjoy ourselves as every Juniper Jedi knows how to have a good time! The Charleston Baseball Academy Winter Youth Camp will be held Saturday, December 3 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Charleston Baseball Academy at Dennis Park. ages 8u-14U This camp will be instructed by the CBA Staff which includes former college coach Jason Murray, Stan Kowalski, Sean Leyland, Donavan Campbell, Scott Sandman along with special guest James Reeves, LHP with the New York Yankees Organization. Other coaches will also be present. The Winter Youth Camp will give the players a chance to learn from the top coaches and players in the game of baseball today. Our focus is on the fundamentals and how to prepare and learn to practice correctly to become a better player. Parents and youth coaches are welcome to attend for FREE! We Will Be Using A Combo Of ORANGE/GREEN DOT BALLS Depending On The Skill Level Of The Group... The ORANGE BALL allows young players to play on a 60 court with the same rules as those used on a regulation court. Playing the real game will promote the development of fundamentals required in game situations. For 7+ year olds that have gained skills from RED BALL play. The ratio of length to width is basically the same as a full sized court is to an adult. As the court and equipment dimensions are scaled down, young players are able to develop an all-court game style... ORANGE BALL tennis uses low-compression balls that facilitate this tactical development. The balls are easier to control and dont bounce as lively as a YELLOW BALL. On these courts players use 23-25 inch rackets (depending on player size) which gives better racquet and ball control. The modified equipment also assists with development of good mechanics. ORANGE BALL instruction is a series of game based drills, to develop players globally with a strong emphasis on fundamentals.
