After an less than desirable experience with a camp who shall remain nameless, we were a bit leery about sending our boys off to a new summer camp. However, when we discovered that Cedarbrook was centered around our same values and those values informed all the activities we took the leap of faith and glad that we did. Wk 7 • Teen Screenprint - Kala Gallery and Classroom
Take a deep dive into becoming a screenprint expert using the professional equipment that Kalas studio has to offer. We will start with the basics of cutting stencils for DIY printing and then move into more complex methods including multi-layered, repeat pattern, and photography-based images. Print on paper, fabric, shirts, and other clothing. Whether you are interested in drawing, hand-lettering, digital media, photography or graphic design, this is the class for you! Instructor Bio: Claire Kessler-Bradner is a second-generation San Francisco printmaker. Growing up in the culture of the print shop, she developed a love of process and problem-solving, materials, equipment and tools, and the collaborative camaraderie of making together. Her work in printmaking, painting, drawing, book arts, and sculpture addresses the narrative intersection of place and memory. After earning her MFA at California College of the Arts, Claire returned to teaching fine art at the middle and high school level. Grade 5/6 Co-ed Indoor soccer - HMAC at Old Trail School
Old Trail will join the Hudson Uniteds Co-ed Indoor Soccer Recreation league. All games will be played at NC Sports Center in Hudson. All practices will be at Old Trail School: Practices will start in the HMAC on Games will be on Saturdays, 2/27 , 3/5, 3/12, 4/2. 4/9, 4/16, and 4/23. Start times of the games will vary. Practices are on Thursday 2/18 , Mon. 2/22 and Thursdays 3/3, 3/10, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21 No practice week of MS spring trips 3/14-3/18 The fee for this program is $180, and will include all league and registration fees, a uniform jersey, and coaching. Deadline for registration is 2/10/16 (registration closed) In addition to signing up through the Old Trail program website, participants need to fill out two Hudson United registration forms, provided in your confirmation email. Please place Old Trail School in the box that asks for specific instructions. Completed forms need to be returned to Mr. Teunissen van ASAP.
