EXTREME ART! - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Take art to a new level! Whether you are an accomplished young artist or someone who thinks they cant do any art, we promise you are in for a hands-on 3 dimensional fun experience with wood burning, tie-dyeing with Indigo, printmaking, weaving and felting and that is truly EXTREME! We will teach you to use a special pyrography (wood burning) tool and to draw designs, patterns and texture into wood, leather and dried gourds. The ancient Greeks called it writing with fire. After the design is burned in, shading and coloring can be added. You will discover the art of printmaking, how to use a printing press, carve linoleum blocks into stamps, and create a masterpiece using natural items and a collagraph abstract print. Go back in time as you dye fibers using natural indigo and tie-die your camp t-shirt to the EXTREME!
