Teen Improv Summer Camp - Norfolk, VA
Jump head first into the wonderful world of improv comedy. This camp is open to teens from the age of 13 to 18, and absolutely no experience is needed. Students will explore the key tools behind both long and short form improvisation. We will play numerous improv games which will help to sharpen your mind and strengthen your public-speaking, social and team-building skills. We strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where teens can build confidence, make friends, and most importantly ... have fun. At the end of camp, all students will take part in a graduation show on the Push Comedy Theater stage. Students will also be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. The Teen Improv Summer Camp will be July 11 thru 15 from 1pm to 3pm. Tutition: $200

Youth Skills Camp - Pete Maravich Assembly Center
The camp will focus on individual skill develop-ment. Basic technique will be taught and drilled: competitive drills will be used in the evening to further refine skills. Players will be grouped by age and grade level. The camp schedule includes 2 training sessions on Monday, 3 sessions on Tuesday and 2 sessions on Wednesday. All meals will be provided. Parents are invited to observe camp at any time during the training sessions. Overnight and commuter options are available. *Due to incurred costs to Tiger Volleyball Camps, any and all refunds will be subjected to a processing fee of $10.00. Global Scientists - Middle School
Nearly one billion people on our planet lack access to clean water. Thats one billion people who cant drink from a faucet, shower or cook a meal without risk of illness - or worse! In this course, students will collaborate with a Global Partner Student from a developing country to help quench the thirst of the world. Through video message exchanges they will learn about each other and explore how water is used in each others culture, study the chemical properties of water and the water cycle, and then use the engineering design process to build, test and tweak biodomes, water towers, and water filtration systems to better understand how water systems can be polluted and purified. As their understanding of the subject matter grows, students will work closely with their Global Partners to develop a hands-on research project that shows the water problems each of their countries face while sharing practical ways to address these problems and help bring clean water to the world! Students will learn to use a compliment of hand tools during a course that emphasizes safe tool use, practical problem-solving & creative development.
