Magical Gardens Gardens are a major part of what makes the Hermitage so special. During this week of camp we will celebrate various gardens as we take your young artist out into the beautiful Rose Garden, Sunken Garden, and Rain Gardens at the Hermitage. Campers will do observational drawings, landscape paintings and create their very own ‘magical garden. Through nature walks they will discover garden sculptures and learn about patterns in the natural world. This year campers will also have a special opportunity to contribute to the Hermitages very own vegetable garden! Allow your artist to discover magic in the Hermitage Gardens! The camp day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m., with a morning session that will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon, lunch and playing time from noon to 1:00 p.m., and the afternoon session from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The camp day ends promptly at 4:00 p.m. 757-423-2052 x203

What Items Are Important to Bring to Summer Camp?
As always, the mission of the camp dictates what campers should bring. However, no matter the focus of the program, there are some universal essentials to bring. Packing is hard. Having a general packing list makes it easier for parents and children to handle this process.
First, one should always bring bedding, a pillow, and any comfort items like a stuffed animal. There will be a morning session from 9am-noon & an afternoon session from 1pm-4pm. We will work on Painting, Drawing, Collage, Fabric Art, Mosaic, Mixed Medium & more, while learning about different artists & different cultures,in a Fun & creative environment. All Skills camp will focus on developing and improving the fundamentals of volleyball. Passing, serving, setting, defense, attacking, blocking as well as team systems and competition. Camp check in begins at 8:15a on July 6th and camp sessions run from 9:00a-12:00p and 1:00-3:30p daily. Lunch & t-shirt included. This will largely not be computer related, but more about enjoying some of the University of Utah campus - doing activities like bowling or games on the open spaces. I know this does not solve the problem for those enrolled in the Beginning Scratch camp ending at 11:45AM. Sorry. We will distribute a daily schedule so that you can pickup early if needed. Please join us for the Wagner College Mens Lacrosse January Prospect Clinic! The clinic is a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes to improve as players and to learn what its like to be a college athlete. Youll also get the chance to meet head coach Matt Poskay, his assistants, and the Seahawk Lacrosse players who will also be working with you during the event. During the morning session, participants will work closely with Wagner coaches and players in order to further develop skills that will help them with both their high school and club lacrosse programs. During lunch, there will be an information session where participants will learn what its like to balance academics and athletics at the Division I level. Finally, during the afternoon field session, participants will have the opportunity to play and compete against other future college lacrosse players. Participants must bring all necessary equipment, including a mouth guard. Please bring a bag lunch as well. Water will be provided.
