Youth Football Camp - Hixson, TN
The Cobra's youth football camp is a non-contact football camp that cultivates talented young people in an effort to unite a community that has deeply supported athletics and leadership building. Participants of the Cobra's Camp will receive personal coaching from TN Cobra players and other former college players, and trained coaches. All youth (boys & girls) between the ages of 5-13 are encouraged to participate. We only have 100 spots; this event is being held at an indoor athletic facility and will not cancel due to weather. Radio Stories - The Evergreen School
There are all kinds programs on the radio: music, talk shows, journalism, radio dramas, and many more. In Radio Stories, students will create and record a variety of their own radio programs and experience what its like to work at a real radio station. Following the class, students will receive a recording of the weeks Radio Stories. 206-957-1533

Sports Camp week 5- Basketball (ages 5-12) - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of basketball camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport including dribbling, passing (chest passes, bounce passes, and overhead passes), shooting (jump shots and full shots), and man to man defense. Agility and hand eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of basketball camp will focus on the basic rules such as traveling, double dribble, charging and blocking, as well as the duties of each position. Additionally modified games of basketball and cooperative games such as knock out, PIG, around the world and 21 will be played during the last hour. As the skills of each child advances, the third hour will consist of more realistic game like situations and a mini tournament based upon age group. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! Puppet Palooza - Tuckahoe Elementary
Shadow, Rod, Hand, Finger, Bunraku, Sock, Marionette: there are so many types of puppets and now you can learn about them! Over the course of 1 week, campers will each build, manipulate and perform with their own puppets. Puppet Palooza is a unique blend of art, acting, mime, and ensemble: a one-of-a-kind experience for every level of experience. New-US Writing Workshop SII (11th-12th) - Francis W Parker
Parkers new summer Writing Workshops for students entering grades 10-12 offers students the opportunity to learn, explore, review and practice a variety of writing skills, including grammar, usage and sentence structures. These intensive, one-week workshops will help students fill gaps, develop comfort, and prepare for future classroom writing experiences. These workshops will be taught by members of the Francis Parker English Department Faculty. In the workshop for rising 11th and 12th graders, students will work in a variety of genres including persuasive, analytical, narrative and creative, with a special concentration on grammar/usage and the personal essay. The most vital components of any race are starts and turns. With a focus on power, speed, and efficiency, the Tiger Starts and Turns Camp will help campers maximize their race potential.
