This class will develop students basketball skills. Students will participate in drills, shooting games, and scrimmages to help develop these skills. 8475043400 x2520
Collaboration Intensive - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Theater is made up of many different elements, come join us in this week and get a taste of all of them. Students will pick a character and then work through the week to create make-up, a costume, props, set design, plus write a monologue or scene for that character to perform on the final day of class. 817-421-2825

Where is all our water? Is water a renewable resource? In this program participants will explore this question through hands-on water chemistry experiments and other investigations that will help explain why access to clean fresh water has become one of our WGP---Worlds Greatest Problems---and why we need to solve it. Participants will develop a website to communicate what they have learned as well as explore other technical solutions that can help us all make every drop count! (630)9075950

A key element of the program is a teaching technique called positive growth feedback in which "failure" is viewed as a necessary and even welcome step on the path to success. Research has shown that girls are especially receptive to this teaching technique and the scientific method is the ideal process for applying this technique to valuable learning. Girls in STEM will: Motivate and encourage participation and leadership in young females in STEM related fields. Incorporate the engineering and scientific process into interactive, engaging activities, while promoting positive growth feedback.
