Youth Football Camp - Des Arc, AR
This is a NON-CONTACT sports camp. Each camper will receive positive individual instruction on the game of football. Local 2016 area college football signees along with former Arkansas Razorbacks Clint Stoerner, Tommy Harris, and Matt Harris will be in attendance. Ouachita Baptist University All-American Brent Calhoun, Waymon Johnson, and Dallas Cowboy great Cliff Harris will encourage youth players to work their hardest at the camp. High school athletes, coaches and football staff will work at the camp in order to provide each camper with quality instruction. Each camp session will also deal with the teaching and discussion of character issues such as honesty and sportsmanship. Each camper will get a chance to earn awards at the end of camp day. This is a great opportunity for local young boys and girls to have a great time in a fun camp. Don’t worry parents. There will plenty of water provided… The cost of the camp is $40 per camper. Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep. Fun Filled Field Trips - Old Trail School
Fun-filled field trips will be taken each day to enable campers to explore the exciting opportunities available in our community. Each morning will begin with a short educational reading and activity related to the field trip. Lunch will be eaten on the trip and a thematic afternoon snack will be provided. Each location offers campers the opportunity to play and explore. Campers should pack their own lunch. Field trips include: Cleveland Zoo, Great Lakes Science Center, Natural History Museum and Lake Farm Parks. Trips will be arranged according to weather and lunch should be packed in brown paper sacks or plastic bags to allow for easy disposal while on field trips. Working collaboratively in pairs, students will discover how to build objects in 3D suitable for 3D printing, utilizing the online platform, TinkerCad. Smart with Art educators will teach students to work with 3D design elements, learn about creating art in perspective, all while exploring practical applications of 3D technology.
