Lets make paintings on the moon where the sky is the limit in this week devoted to art in outer space! Planets, droids, space ships, constellations, astronauts, aliens and martians will be the inspiration for art of galactic proportions. Exploring clay, drawing, painting, 3D construction and more, participants will complete an assortment of individual and group projects in each weeks theme, culminating in a showcase at the end of each camp, followed by the unveiling of an installation at our 9th annual Fall Out of Summer Arts Festival in September. 401-490-9475

Sports Teen Camp - Brandon, FL
Campers ages 15 to 18 try out different sports and learn teamwork and gain independence in diabetes care. The campers stay at Rotary’s Camp Florida, in Brandon and bus to different venues each day. Activities are under the direction of various college coaches or certified instructors and include martial arts, volleyball, soccer, water skiing, golf, basketball, tennis, and softball. Planned night activities include roller skating, bowling, and a night at Tropicana Stadium watching the Devil Rays.
Teen Camp Chinatown Planting Service Project - Chicago, IL
Our service project will be this Saturday. We'll meet up at church first at 8:30 AM and go from there. The project will last until 12:00 PM. All are welcomed to participate, but remember, you must be there if you anticipate that you'll be requesting a need-based scholarship for Teen Camp 2015. Also, this should count for service learning hours, if that's your thing. Thanks.

Take a deep dive into becoming a screenprint expert using the professional equipment that Kalas studio has to offer. We will start with the basics of cutting stencils for DIY printing and then move into more complex methods including multi-layered, repeat pattern, and photography-based images. Print on paper, fabric, shirts, and other clothing. Whether you are interested in drawing, hand-lettering, digital media, photography or graphic design, this is the class for you! Instructor Bio: Claire Kessler-Bradner is a second-generation San Francisco printmaker. Growing up in the culture of the print shop, she developed a love of process and problem-solving, materials, equipment and tools, and the collaborative camaraderie of making together. Her work in printmaking, painting, drawing, book arts, and sculpture addresses the narrative intersection of place and memory. After earning her MFA at California College of the Arts, Claire returned to teaching fine art at the middle and high school level.
