On the MOVE is a bootcamp for kids ages 5-12 which helps build strength, increase skills such as jumping higher and running faster, improve coordination and motor skills, and establish a strong foundation of self-esteem and confidence. Our unique combination of obstacles, agility ladders, hurdles, reaction drills, dodge ball, running games and fun movement accessories makes this a hit for all fitness levels. We use creative movement and fun acting games that boost confidence and help build the body-mind connection. With a camper to caring counselor ratio of 4:1, there is a lot of individual attention. Confidence grows as children share their ideas and impressions, working collaboratively on their skit. Each week there are improv games and fun activities that help with concentration and observation skills. During the week campers sing and tell some jokes onstage, build a shoe box set, and paint the scenery for the show. Each day campers practice and prepare for their skit on Friday. We laugh a lot! INSTRUCTOR ROBERTA MASTERS-CULLEN has been teaching childrens classes and camps at the Little Theatre for seven years. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild specializing in radio and television voiceovers, and has been a television news anchor and reporter.
