Summer break is an opportunity to unwind and recharge as we unplug from the busy demands of the school year. Join us this summer for a Kids Kundalini Yoga Camp, an opportunity to experience the foundations of Kundalini Yoga and explore a practice of self-awareness. Through yoga, meditation, dance, stories, and hands-on activities we will journey through the bliss and playfulness of Kundalini yoga. Through this practice children can gain improved focus, a boost in confidence and Self-awareness, and build the foundation of their identity. Yogi Bhajan describes the key to child raising as giving the child values; to create dependable children, not dependent children. “Give children their own security: Truth and God. Camp Strawberry - Counselor In Training - SRD Main Building
CAMP STRAWBERRY CIT program incorporates specialized skills, camp activities, special guests, athletics, safety training, and work experience skills in an exciting summer environment. Young teens, ages 11-15, will gain valuable training through work experience in a camp setting including how to fill out applications, develop resumes and lead groups. CIT-TIME ZONE allows the group to develop their own athletic and safety skills through professional instruction with a weekly focus. When CITs are not in CIT-TIME ZONE, they will work hand in hand with SRD camp staff to lead games, sports, cooking, songs and transitions. CITs will enjoy pickup games in the following: tennis (SRD Tennis Staff M, W, F) Soccer (Tues), Swimming (Wed) and Multisport (Thurs). Age: 11 - 15 years Time: 10:15am - 5:15pm Dont forget your swimsuit for Wet & Wacky Wednesdays at the pool! Campers let your curiosity run wild with hands-on science activities, crafts and guided exploration of our beautiful outdoor venue at Vasona County Lake Park in Los Gatos! Join us to dig into the fundamentals of botany by planting seeds and investigating the basics of plant life. What about the world below ground? Take a closer look at worms and learn about the importance of bees as pollinators and learn how these incredible creatures communicate. Also actively experiment with solids and liquids to learn more about states of matter.
