Baby Crow Teen Theatre Camp is a 5 day advanced theatre camp taught by members of NYC theatre company, Baby Crow Productions. The camp runs from July 5th-July 9th from 10am-5pm at 113 W. Lexington on the Independence Square. Tuition is $150 for the whole week. Campers will work with professional teaching artists to develop skills. This summer we offer specialty classes in areas such as, vocal performance, acting, musical theatre, dance, audition technique, and much more! Each class is taught by NYC working professionals and teaching artists from Baby Crow Productions. In addition to a traditional approach to training, our camp will provide campers with the experience of creating their own original work. At the end of the week, campers will have the ability to showcase what they have worked on at a performance for their invited guests. Welcome to Lights, Camera?Camp! Columbus Recreation and Parks performing arts camp gladly returns for a third summer of theatrical fun. Campers will learn about acting, set design, costuming and much more. All week, the campers will build their confidence while trying something new. We will showcase their accomplishments at the end of each week with a short performance for friends and family to enjoy! Theme: Under the Sea Flexible drop off time between 7:30-9 am. Canvas Painting (AGES 5-7 for the PM) Explore the colorful world of paint with teaching artist Deron Cohen (www.deroncohen.com). We will be making at least two paintings over these 5 days. Through step-by-step instruction and demonstration, students will learn how to break down an image into its most basic shapes and transfer those shapes onto the canvas. We will also explore the Imagination as students are guided through a creative process that encourages experimentation while also re-enforcing all of the previous techniques and skills developed. Time permitting, students will be encouraged to make another painting incorporating all the techniques learned throughout the week.
