The High School Harp Solo and Ensemble Workshop is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. The program is an exciting week of solo and ensemble experiences exploring classical traditions and improvisational styles. In addition, participants have the opportunity to attend special master classes on a variety of topics including selected orchestral audition excerpts, chamber music, harp maintenance, and career discussions. MAS Youth Summer Camp! August 7th-9th - Junction City, KS
WHEN IS THE CAMP? The camp will, Insha'Allah, be from Friday, August 7th - Sunday, August 9th. WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS. It is about 2 - 2.5 hours away from Kansas City. Transportation will be provided, Insha'Allah. (Please see details below.) WHO MAY ATTEND THE CAMP? Young youth boys and girls ages 11-18 only. WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP? The cost is $90 per child by July 24th midnight. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110/per child. Registration space is limited. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER? For the early registration discount, register by Friday, July 24th. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110 instead of $90. Wrestling - The Philadelphia School
Through games, drills, instruction, and sparring, boys and girls will learn the art and craft of wrestling. Participants will practice using their bodies creatively and efficiently. By tackling common challenges and working hard together, campers will form strong peer bonds. Built into each day will be team-building activities and character-development conversations. Using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education as the foundation, students will create works of art that apply design skills in drawing, painting, and 3-D sculpture. Concepts such as symmetry, balance and form which are naturally aligned in both art and math will be fully explored in this camp.
