The Longhorns Tennis Camp will be conducted on The University of Texas campus in Austin by carefully selected instructors who are experienced at working with young players. These instructors include college coaches, high school coaches and collegiate players. Longhorns Tennis Camp is open to girls and boys, ages 9 and above, of all ability levels. Campers will be housed in Castillian, a privately owned highrise dormitory near campus. Each room has a private bath and refrigerator. Experienced, mature male and female staff provide 24-hour supervision. All employees have passed a criminal background check as well as a child protection training conducted by The University of Texas Human Resources Department. My son loved Camp Broad Rock. There was a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for my 12 year old son to choose from at this camp. This camp is for children from preschool through grade 12. Unlike other camps, Camp Broad Rock has an indoor aquatic center. My son was excited to know he could swim regardless of what the weather was like outdoors. This will be a fundamental camp with position specific drills as well. Athletes will have an opportunity to learn one position or multiple positions. We will teach basic tackling, blocking and ball handling techniques at the start of the clinic. Remember college and pro atheltes practice fundamentals every day! We will also teach some basic speed and agility drills. All form tackling will be done on practice dummies. There is no live tackling of other players and no equipment is needed. Our staff will consist of college coaches and current or former college players. Do not be fooled the staff is the best in the youth coaching business! The coaches will be teaching the most up to date football techniques out there. We hope to have the former NFL players back this year!!!

This 4 week workshop will focus on making bags and purses using a resist method of wet felting. For many, felt is a crafting material sold in squares made out of some mish-mosh of synthetic fibers. Felting is actually extremely natural and is one of the most ancient art forms in mankinds history. It is still a widely used method which can create anything from clothing to toys and even houses. In this class, students will learn the basic process of wet felting which creates wool fabric by layering raw wool fibers, adding warm soapy water and a little elbow grease. This is an inter-generational class. The felting process is simple but can be very versatile which makes it a great opportunity for parents and children to work together side by side.
