Each Winter Elite Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific Elite faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Elite Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill. In this class, we will create a wonder room by investigating several of the many ways in which science and art intersect. By highlighting the overlap between art and science, we will gain a better understanding of each, as well as a new appreciation for how art can play a role in scientific processes and how science can inform and facilitate the creation of visual art.
