Exchange Youth Camp #Ngvdmop - Sonora, CA
ALL Youth! On behalf of the District Youth Board, we greet you in the name of Jesus Christ! We pray and hope that you and your youth group are well and blessed. Camp is around the corner and we are excited about it! This year’s theme is “EXCHANGE.” We have felt God tug at our hearts and steer us in this direction with this theme in mind. When the Apostle Paul received his calling from God, he wrote “… for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ” (Philippians 3:8, NKJV). An exchange occurred in his life. He left behind knowledge, position, and commodities to live his life for Christ. Our goal for this year’s youth camp is for young people to understand that in every EXCHANGE, something must be given up in order for something to be gained; and our ultimate goal is to gain Christ.

Camp Anthony Wk#1 - May 31, 2016 - Anthony Recreation Center
Week #1 Lavender Mountain This is the start of a summer filled with Friends, Fun, and Exciting field trips. This first week is a hike up Lavender Mountain. We will swing on the rope swing, climb the tower, and pretend to be logs and roll down the grassy hill. There is nothing like a picnic on the top of Lavender Mountain. New games will be played inside and out at the Anthony Center. The Federal Food Pogram will start today and run till July 22nd. Afternoon snack will be provided. We will be swimming once a week, so you need to have a swim bag ready to go with your swimsuit, sun screen, towel and (flip flops for the time we are at the pool). During Writing and Journalism, students will have the opportunity to write and thoroughly edit and review 1-2 creative writing pieces (such as poems, short stories, novel excerpts, short plays or play excerpts, memoir, personal essay, etc.) Students will learn the art of interviewing and will also be given the opportunity to work through some aspects of the publication process by spending the last day of class compiling handmade class books. 770-777-9131
Galaxy Robotics Summer Camp - Piedmont High School
Galaxy Robotics is offering a standard class for elementary and middle school students. Over the course of the week, students will design and build their own drivable robot. On the last day of class, a small, friendly competition will be held for students to experience a real tournament environment. The class features the VEX robotics design system, a system that allows for any style of robot to be built. Students will be placed on robot-building teams consisting of 3 to 4 students each, teaching not only technology but also teamwork.
