SummerART Camp Full Day Studio Art Program 9:30am to 5pm Studio Art with Lego Animation Session V: August 22 to August 26 (One week only) Studio Art Camp Days of Summer Campers will explore themes of summertime fun. We will discuss campers favorite things about summer, from swimming, camping, and hiking, to fun family vacations. Campers artwork will be inspired by these topics, conversations, and themes, with an emphasis on learning about painting, drawing, and sculpting techniques, to name a few. Landscapes, seascapes, and scenes from our own neighborhood will be explored while enjoying the last days of summer! This camp is jam-packed with indoor and outdoor fun, as kids learn about music, rhythm, singing, and more. In just one week, your child will get the chance to play piano, drums, guitar, recorder, violin, and a TON of other awesome percussion instruments! This summer camp is a musically inspiring, fun, and unique way to expose your kids to many instruments! Each week offers an imagination based theme. Evening activites will be based on the theme of the week. Daytime activities include organized games, pool activities, creek stomps and arts and crafts. Tournament start times 10:00 a.m. White, Gold, Green belt check-in 9:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Purple, Blue, Red, Brown belt check-in 12:00 p.m. Event timing example The White belts would be assigned a ring for testing. Green belts in another ring for sparring competition and the Gold belts would do Form competition in a third ring. When the events are done (approximately 20-30 minutes) they will rotate to another event. All awards will be done at ringside. Form Competition This is where students compete against one another by doing a form in front of a panel of Judges for points (weve been practicing in class). Form divisions are set by belt level. Judges look for intensity, Focus, strength, technique and attitude. The competitor with the most points wins 1st place etc. Tournament Champions There will be a Lower belt Champion (green belt and below) and an Upper belt Champion (purple and above). The competitors who win first place in both form and sparring events will be eligible for this event.
