LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Sunflower Basketball Camp - Ages 11-13 - Olathe Community Center
This is a fundamentally-based camp for boys and girls ages 6-13 focusing on skill development through daily drill periods, contests, and competitive games. Instruction is provided by High School coaches and current and former college basketball players. Camp Director, Brett McFall, is an Olathe South High School grad and 1997 Mr. Kansas Basketball. Brett was a 4-year player at the University of Wyoming (1997-2001) and played professionally in Europe and the USA (2002-2004). He has 13-years of coaching experience and is currently the head coach at Shawnee Mission South High School. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Come join Camp Agape for our 3rd annual Memorial Run 5k and 1 Mile Kids Walk! The largest team created will win a Team Trophy! Medals will be handed out to our top 3 male runners, top 3 female runners, as well as the top 3 runners in our youth division (12 and under). Lego Jr. Robot Creator - Bridgeway Christian Academy
COURSE Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors, and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide campers through their first 12 robot models, which include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. Judo Fun Camp - Tilden Middle School
This program, coached by a French Judo instructor. Judo is a martial art from Japan. Coach Frederic has been teaching Judo to students around the world for over 25 years. While teaching disciplines such as politeness, respect, self control and concentration students will also learn the complex forms of the martial art known as Judo. This martial arts program will teach and train students on the proper technique, muscular development, calisthenics, stretching, joint rotation, exercises, endurance training, sparring and sparring related drills. Everyday, you will improve your balance and have fun with many activities about judo like crafts, drawing, writing. Japanese and learn few words in French.
