This camp will emphasize basic skills, playing as a team, and sportsmanship. Instruction will focus on the fundamentals of basketball in a setting of encouragement and confidence building. Drills to improve skills will be added, and games will focus on team play and tactical understanding. Drama Advanced-Prepared to be challenged by the likes of Shakespeare, Mamet and other influential playwrights in our Advanced Drama Class. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. Please contact Jay Goodlett to confirm that you have the required training to participate. Step into the role of a lifetime and learn the secrets of the Dramatic Arts! Using traditional and modern acting techniques, we will explore the dynamics of drama through the use of scene work. Your teaching artist will assign scenes from both contemporary and classical theatrical plays/musicals as you learn to expand your talents through the help of others. Campers combine art and engineering skills to conceive and construct the four layers of the rainforest. On the last day, campers will present forest facts and escort their parents on an exciting rainforest tour.
