Campers will learn a variety of cheers, jumps, kicks and movements. We?ll also play fun cheerleading games and decorate crazy uniforms to wear at an exhibition on the last day of camp. Cheerleading camp provide children a highly active endeavor in a non-competitive environment that fosters fun and the development of friendships. Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Supplies: Campers should bring a snack and beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. Kid's Campout with the Prickly Pear Living History Museum - San Antoni
Do you want to help your kids build a connection to nature, but aren’t sure how? Do you struggle to get them away from screens? On March 19th and 20th Government Canyon State Natural Area and the Prickly Pear Living History Museum will be co-hosting a camping event for kids ages 10-16 and their parents. No screens allowed, but no one will be bored. Instead, we’ll talk about how local Native Americans survived and thrived in the same places we now call our home. For hands-on learning we’ll have reproduction tools, weapons, and natural resources for everyone to explore. Along the way, kids discover how to be hike leaders and why it’s important to be good caretakers of the land. We’ll provide most of the equipment. Maximum of two kids and two adults per group, so that more kids can enjoy the experience. Space is limited to 12 people. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Our last event filled up fast. SUMMER LANGUAGE CAMP: Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 3 - 6 Dates: June 27-July 1 and August 1-5 Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Format: Two, one week sessions Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $400/session This camp is designed to introduce students to modern languages while they experience summer fun including cooking, sports, arts, sightseeing and field trips throughout the city – in the target language. Your child will be immersed in language, culture and pure fun in this camp led by Laurel World Languages faculty and counselors who are fluent in the language. Languages are offered in an immersion setting to give campers the foundation they need to enter a language class at their grade level. While cooking tapas, crepes or egg rolls, our students spontaneously use their target language to request flavors, colors, and what they like and dont like.
