Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you have to stop your morning and evening prayers! Actually, our daughter is the one who reminded us of that and it was just one of the wonderful lessons she brought home from her time at Park River. Aside from the bible study which she was really engaged with, her favorite thing was the cast iron cooking lessons. This summer we will be going to camp on week 10. That will be August 3rd – 8th. The evangelist will be Tom Farrell. Every teen and junior is invited to join us for summer camp. Teen campers must be 12 years old by September 1, 2015 and junior campers must be at least 9 years old by September 1, 2015. The cost for teen campers is $345.00, if you register before February 1st you will save $50.00 The cost for junior camp is $335.00, if you register before February 1st you will save $50.00 This year you can register online and just be sure to join your registration up with Calvary Baptist Church of New Bern.

If you would like to take this class as a half day option please contact us directly to register. Science, math, engineering, art: Da Vinci was a master of it all. In this class designed exclusively for young developing minds, students get to follow in his footsteps by engaging in a variety of stimulating activities that cut across a wide range of disciplines. Tool use, building and engineering, chemistry and biology, art and design, spontaneous improvisation, and healthy dose of brain and body play are all mixed together to form this experience. Each activity will last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes as students move from one subject to the next while making new discoveries about the diverse world around them. Here is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn new basketball skills and improve on existing skills, all while getting a workout. Camp Director, Sean Birdsong, has been around the game of basketball for most of his life. The son of former NBA All-Star, Otis Birdsong, Sean played locally at Bonner Springs High School and collegiately at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. Sean has also played at the professional level in the CBA, PBL, and NBA D-League workouts. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt.
