Want to work outside this summer? Are you an outdoor program looking for potential employees? Come to the University of New Hampshire's annual Outdoor Jobs and Camp Fair Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Granite State Room of the Memorial Union Building at UNH. More than 40 employers representing non-profit outdoor and environmental agencies, commercial outfitters, summer camps and international travel companies will attend this year's fair to recruit summer and full-time employees. Some representatives conduct on-the-spot interviews. The fair, which is free for job seekers and open to the public, attracts more than 400 students and others from diverse academic fields, including outdoor education, nursing, natural resources, recreation management, theatre arts, business, and equine sciences. Attendees can win raffle prizes donated by local businesses. This is a great opportunity for networking and obtaining employment or employees early on in the hiring season. Vocal Performance Workshop - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
This class is for 4th-8th grade students. Through the Vocal Performance Workshop, students will: learn foundational vocal technique, as well as techniques used in different musical styles; shape and strengthen their vocal instrument with breathing and singing exercises; explore performance practices of interpretation, connection with the audience, stage movement, and microphone use; understand how to care and use their voice in healthy ways. Cardinal Volleyball Camp - Alexandria Area High School
Cardinal Volleyball Camp For Students currently in 6th-7th grade (15-16) Alexandria Area High School Auxiliary Gym. The Cardinal Volleyball Camp, run by the Cardinal coaches, is a great way to start learning the skills and expectations of the 9-12 program. We will touch on the very basic components of individual skill and progress toward exposure to more advanced concepts that we implement at the varsity level. A variety of individual skills will be addressed including: basic passing form, defensive movement, serving approach footwork, blocking footwork and transition movement. Team concepts that will be touched on include: offensive and defensive systems, serve receive patterns and positive team interactions. This is your chance to get a jump-start on understanding what being a Cardinal volleyball player means both on and off the court. Instructor: Hawley Session 8: Crime Busters Camp. Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced.
