Description: Have a blast while exploring the fields, forests, and streams at Blue Jay Point. We will learn about mammals, insects, reptiles and amphibians as we hike, do crafts, and play games. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Critter Capers is a three-day half-day mini-camp at Blue Jay Point County Park for children ages 6-8. All participants should wear play clothes, closed-toe shoes (like sneakers or day hikers) and bring weather appropriate outerwear to each camp session. Tech Time 3rd-5th - Evergreen Country Day School
Designed with the collaborative workshop model in mind, campers will enjoy an in-depth exploration of two essential tech tools: Scratch programming and Lego stop animation. Using MITs Scratch programming language, fundamental concepts will be taught so campers can start creating stories, games and animations and even try applying some of these skills to games like Minecraft. Well then investigate tricks of the trade for creating Lego stop animation movies so campers can make their very own flicks. The week ends with a culminating workshop day for students to tweak and expand existing projects. No previous experience necessary; just come with curiosity and readiness to have fun!
