Barrett Lammers, a preschool student here at Loving Care, was born with polycystic kidney disease. He had been doing well managing with this until a few months ago when an abnormal growth was found between his liver and pancreas called a choledochal cyst. This required him to have an extensive surgery and rehabilitation this spring. His prognosis is positive, however, he will need to have continued close monitoring throughout his entire life. We are planning a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run and Diaper Dash with all proceeds from this event being donated to Barrett’s family to assist with medical expenses.
