Beat those cabin fever blues and join Madlyne for Kid's Yoga Day Camp this Winter at Embody! WHO: All kids ages 6 to 12! WHEN: December 28th, 29th and 30th (Mon, Tue, Wed) - 2:00pm to 3:30pm WHERE Embody Movement Studio: 115 S. Tower Ave. Centralia, WA WHY: Fun! Relaxation! Play! Strength! Flexibility! Kid friendly yoga poses, stretches and breathing exercises are incorporated with games that teach positive ways to channel and expel excess energy! Lego Robotics Camp - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
More than toys, LEGO building blocks are a doorway to mathematics, science and technology. They also are a blast to play with! Students in this camp will explore creative options with blocks, then work with FIRST LEGO League Jr. simple machine kits to explore key scientific models like levers, pulleys and gears. By the end, they will be on their way to FLL Jr. participation in the upcoming competition season, or just have enjoyed great hands‐on opportunities to learn some basic engineering. Every day for three weeks, students will be rolling up their sleeves and learning exciting new art techniques – from molding clay into their favorite animal, to making tea sets, vases, sea life, or other imaginative works of art! Projects include drawing, watercolor, mosaic glass infusion and ‘make-your-own purse or wallet. Children create all of their own masterpieces, and can take them home to enjoy forever. Have fun learning about fish and fishing while using maps, engineering, fisheries research, and innovative design while constructing a fishing rig. Look to the past to explore the ocean lore of mermaids, sea monsters, and giant squid as well as glacial and fresh water influence.
