TRI-It! This camp is designed for beginner triathletes that have competitive swimming or running experience. Find out why triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in America and learn about NCAA scholarships for female athletes! USA Triathlon certified coaches (including Dr. Karen Edwards, Director of Afterschool and Summer at Laurel) will teach basic skills for completing your first triathlon. Learn open water skill techniques, bike handling skills (including braking, riding in a group, and safety skills) and running to maximize speed and minimize impact. Transition skills and strength and conditioning for endurance sports will also be covered. Tuition includes coaching, transportation to swim venue, and lunch. Basic swim proficiency is required. Each day will be filled with practice drills, relay races, and game play designed to help campers learn fundamentals, improve their motor skills, and build confidence. Obvious Choice Sports offers campers of all skill levels an environment, where they can play sports without pressure while having a great time. Join in the All-Star fun!
