Kid's Sewing Camp - Shreveport, LA

Teen Photo Camp: High Schoolers - Alpharetta, GA
Is your teen always snapping away? Stealing your camera? Obsessed with capturing their surroundings? Foster their creative skills at our TEEN PHOTO CAMP this summer in our Crabapple studio! Students will need a digital camera and a *genuine* desire to learn more about photography. We will offer separate sessions for middle & high schoolers in June and July. We’ll have instruction, shooting practice and fun learning activities each day in an artistic, small group environment. Each student will need to bring their digital camera, a snack, water bottle & lunch each day. All other materials will be provided, including class notes & supplies. The camp will cover the following topics : - Photographer’s Tool Kit - Essentials of Exposure (Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO) - Camera Settings - Composition - Photography & Social Media - Lighting, Landscapes & People - Careers in Photography At the end of camp, we will have an open house showcasing our student's best work in the studio. Camp fee is $225 and is required to hold your student's place.

Coats for Kids 2015 Campaign
Join us as we collect NEW Coats for Kids and cover the end zone of Joan C. Edwards Football Stadium! We will be collecting coats all through the months of October and November. Drop your NEW coat off today, at the designated Goodwill locations (Virginia Avenue, 9th Avenue, Lavalette, Milton & Barboursville) or at the Marshall home games on 10/24 and 11/14. Donate a NEW coat for the campaign and be entered in a drawing for: 4 chairback seats to the Marshall vs. FIU game on 11/14 & an on-field experience at the game. All of the coats that are collected will be given (FREE of charge) to local children. Help us keep our youngest Herd fans warm this winter and make your donation today! #CoatsforKids

Clay Making for Tweens & Teens (canceled) - Manhattan Arts Center- Creative Arts Annex
*This class has been canceled due to lack of interest. If your child is 13 or older, they can enroll in our Adult Wheel classes! If you are interested in a specific class that is not offered, please call Kim at 785-537-4420. ***** Instructor: Jesse Ring Ages 11-14 Days: Thursdays Time: 4:00-6:00pm Dates: Feb 4-Mar 10 Cost: $95 (min. enrollment 4) This young teens class will focus on beginning to learn the basics of the potters wheel. Projects will range from cellphone boom box holders, treasure boxes, cereal bowls, and coffee mugs. Clay cost is included. Galactic Adventures with LEGO® Bricks - Kentlake High School
The year is 2025. Our rocket ship has landed on a distant planet and our class has been asked to make it a comfortable place to live and explore. Well build homes, rovers, machines and spacecraft - and power them with LEGO® motors. The projects include: •A space home with rotating solar panels above the roof powered by a LEGO® motor •All-terrain rover equipped with a satellite dish to explore the planet and report findings back to base •Research buggy with extras like a drill to analyze rocks and dig for minerals •Spacecraft to travel around the planet This class is great for a LEGO® fanatic as well as someone new to the world of brick construction. Students learn how to incorporate gears into projects, use battery packs and motors to power creations, interlock bricks for strength, make sturdy connections with LEGO Technic® beams and pegs, and more!
