Week 4: Chess Program - The MacDuffie School
Whether you already know and love the game or dont even know the rules, this summers Chess program is sure to be the right move! Beginning players will focus on learning the rules of the game and how pieces move. Intermediate players will have the opportunity to play matches, learn some advanced strategies, and have fun with variations on the game! July 25-28: Volcanoes Rock! (Ages 5-6) - Mountain Kids!
New Mexico is one of the best places on earth to see volcanic rock formations and many types of rocks. We will travel to see volcanic tuff and learn how it was formed by a two volcanic eruptions more than a million years ago. We will go to the Valles Caldera to see the source of the eruption and participate in a service project there on a long day trip.
