Where Will My Child Sleep at Summer Camp?
Different camps have different types of accommodations. Some groups have kids sleeping in well-ventilated cabins whereas others have air-conditioned dorm rooms. Bathrooms could be in cabin or in a nearby wash house. There are also programs that have youth sleeping in tents outside. An organization’s mission often dictates the sleeping arrangements. For example, a 4-H or Girl Scout group may want campers to be outdoors to learn important survival skills whereas an academic camp may want youth inside so they can focus on their work. Teen Writing Matters - A Summer Writing Camp! - Grass Valley, CA

Spartan Quest PM (12:30-3) 1 week 1st-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: John Leddy "Summertime fun begins at Spartan Quest, (formerly known as Sports Camp). This class will run for all 10 weeks of summer school giving your camper a consistent, exciting summer daycamp experience. We will spend the mornings doing fun things on campus like; playing games, flying kites, dodge ball, hide-n-seek, flag football, basketball, video games, etc…. We also will build our own fun when we build things like; bow and arrows from PVC pipe, marshmallow shooters, mini-golf-courses, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and anything else we can think of! In the afternoon we continue our fun off campus at places like; Tanganyika, ice skating, roller skating, Lazerquest, Watson Park, mini-golf, All-Star Adventures, Water Center, Bug Lady and many more too numerous to mention. This class is designed for students entering 2nd to 8thgrades who are looking for unlimited fun and adventure. Field Hockey Day Camp Session #1 - Vonnie Gros Athletic Field
The WCU Field Hockey Day Camp is designed for the development of the field hockey athlete from advanced level to beginners. All campers will have individual skill instruction with play-ers of similar ability and experience. Topics that will be covered: individual/group instruction, offensive/defensive strategies, specialized goal-keeper instruction, as well as competitive game experiences in a positive learning environment. EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, bath-ing suit, sunscreen, and a con-tainer of water (no glass). WCU and its camp staff are not re-sponsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment should be marked with the campers name. Soccer (Grades 3-5) (PM) - MA Upper School Soccer Fields
This camp will emphasize basic skills, playing as a team, and sportsmanship. Instruction will focus on the fundamentals of soccer in a setting of encouragement and confidence building. Drills to improve skills will be added and games will focus on team play and scrimmages will be held to demonstrate tactical understanding. All participants need a soccer ball, shin guards, soccer shoes, a water bottle, a snack and sunscreen.
