The Summer Camp Event 2016 - New York, NY
Come celebrate The Summer Camp with us! Open bar, free food, camp things and The Wooly DJ! TSC sends over 350 underprivileged girls (ages 6-18) from low-income and foster families to camp in Maine each summer. Unlike similar organizations, TSC brings campers back year after year. So the programming— and the community— grow with the campers. TSC also provides a literacy program to make sure that campers are reading at grade level as well as a mentorship program for “graduates." The space and food are being donated, so nearly all of the money from ticket sales will go directly to camp. Purchase tickets here: https://thesummercamp.splashthat.com Can't wait to see you there!

Exploring Precious Metal Clay with Christopher Beaver - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Times vary: Friday 6-8pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. This class will explore the very basics of metal clay with the incredibly humorous and tallented Christopher Beaver. No previous experience or skills necessary. Have you ever wanted to work with metal but have been scared off by the metal smithing process? Here is your chance to explore the world of precious metal clay – a fantastic clay material that is permeated with microscopic elements of pure metals. The clay is formed and placed in a kiln and – viola! – you pull out a pure piece of solid silver. Required for this this class is a great sense of humor, a willingness to learn, the ability to laugh at your own mistakes and letting your teacher drop the "f bomb" on occasion (it happens). IMPORTANT: This class will be held at a private home studio in Placerville, CO (not at the Ah Haa School). 970.728.3886
