Lets get ready for kindergarten! This half day camp is for children going to kindergarten in the fall. Campers will have a fun and engaging time working on kindergarten readiness skills through shared reading, rhyming, alphabet and phonics games and math activities. Lets get this party started! During this week, you will be learning party dances. You will learn the Electric Slide (with advanced versions), the Cha Cha Slide, Cotton Eyed Joe, the Cupid Shuffle and so much more. Your performance will be the highlight at the end of the week. Elgin Academys Musical Theater Camp combines all the components of a professional performance in a fun camp atmosphere! Camp will begin with auditions to help determine the campers current developmental and comfort levels in performance. All participants will be assigned a role to perform for a final presentation. Additionally, students will work together with staff to help create sets, costume pieces and props. Participants and their families are asked to make a commitment to regular attendance, as absences significantly impact the groups preparation.
