LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Camp Kaleidoscope - Field Trip Camp Session 2 - Veterans Memorial - Recreation Center
Camp will offer youth, ages 6-10 years old, a wide range of activities to keep them active during the summer months. There will be ten sessions of camp, each one week in length. Five sessions will have a featured field trip and five sessions will have a special event or a wild life animal presentation. All costs, including transportation by charter bus for the featured trip, are included in the cost of the camp program. Children will also enjoy activities such as arts & crafts, outdoor games, indoor games, music & drama, special events, cooking projects, bowling, movies, swimming, hiking, and much more. A schedule will be given out the first day of each session. Children will be divided into age groups. Each group will be assigned a leader and a junior leader or leader in training. Cost Includes: Camp T-shirt, field trip fees, and all supplies! Please be sure all items are clearly labeled with the campers name. Participants must have a Health Information Form on file PRIOR to participation in camp. Extended care available. Enrollment for each camp session closes the Saturday prior to the upcoming weekly camp session. A $20 late fee will be charged for those...

Summer Camp - Full Day - Week 4 - Mockingbird Baby
Morning: Olympic Robot Games Discover how it feels to Go for the Gold as you and your teammates compete in a handful of sports for this class of Robotic Olympics. Each event/sport will test your robots structural integrity and maneuverability. At the same time, coach your robots with wireless technology while being put to the test. Using gears, pulleys and varying degrees of traction, students will build robotic athletes. We will compete at soccer, kickball, jousting, wrestling, a MYSTERY Sport and a race across the finish line. Sportsmanship and Robotic Competition Rule! Afternoon: Impossible Search & Rescue Teams in this class have accepted the challenge to be the first responder in circumstances of extreme weather, danger, abandonment and quarantine. These victims need: robots that can climb up ropes to rescue Lego Mini Figure victims, rovers that can drive through and over any obstacle, and so much more. We want to know if your robot can save the day. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance...
