It seems every year there is one statement we hear time and time again from campers, “I don’t feel like I have the relationship with God I should, or could have.” Our relationship with God is constantly maturing, and we can all say we could have a stronger, healthier relationship with God. This is why our theme for Hensel 2016 is centered around providing our kids with the tools to have a healthy relationship with our God. The year’s theme is taken from Proverbs 3:1-10 and is simply “Committed: Becoming Children of God” , first serve and will open midnight on April 2

Introduction to Art - Visual Art Institute
Suggested for new students, our Introduction to Art class emphasizes drawing techniques, concepts and terminology, as well as art forms and mediums. You will learn to draw and paint what you see and get to use materials like pencil, ink, charcoal, watercolor, and pastels. Materials included. Instructor: Shelley Young 801-474-3796
Tap for Beginners (Youth) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This course is designed as an introductory course for children who are interested in trying tap for the first time or would like to work on their technique and tap vocabulary. In this class the students will learn the basics of the American Musical Theatre tap dance style, as well as choreography to at least one song. Students will learn basic tap terminology along with tap performing techniques which will provide the student with a well-rounded knowledge of tap dance. This class is designed for 2nd-8th grade students. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelors degree in Theater, focusing on Musical Theater Performance, Directing, Dance/Choreography, and Lighting. He has been very active for the past 10 years in the Alexandria theater community, working with theaters such as; MVCCT, PCP, ACCT, and LTA. He has directed, choreographed, and fight choreographed children and adults alike. Fashion Sewing Camp at The Sewing Room- Student Choice Learn to sew, draw, and express yourself through fashion! Join us for a week or two of fashion fun. Each child will complete a garment and model it in an informal fashion show at the end of the week. We explore different aspects of the design process throughout the camp. Machines and tools are provided at THE SEWING ROOM, but students must purchase a project either from THE SEWING ROOM or from a fabric store (not included in the price of the camp).
