My daughter wouldn't miss going to this Lutheran camp!
This Lutheran Bible Camp is one of the oldest summer camps in America. It was founded in 1926, and is my daughter’s favorite camp. She has fun meeting other youth while strengthening her faith. She also enjoys swimming, arts and crafts and singing around the camp fire. We make sure to plan other summer activities around this summer camp time, so she won't have to miss going to camp.

Shining Stars - Musical Theatre (July 11) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp gives young performers a chance to experience being in a theatrical production, focusing on individual and group creativity while working collaboratively as a team. Students will play theatrically based games and work hard on learning and rehearsing for a show. This camp also allows students to experience the rehearsal process and is a great way to prepare them to be a part of a full length play or musical in school or in the community. The campers will participate in a musical through learning songs, dances, and scenes for them to perform as a whole by the end of the session. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. Session II Volleyball - Cornerstone University
Grades 5-12 (Day Camp) Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Monday morning in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Parents are welcome to attend the training sessions and observe. A medical release form has been enclosed and the registration process will move along much more quickly if this form is filled out (or mailed in) prior to checking in. We will begin camp at 9:00 AM throughout the week and end around 4:00 PM. Camp will conclude on Thursday with a tournament all day and an awards ceremony following at 3:00 PM. I encourage all parents to attend the ceremony and celebrate the weeks accomplishments with the campers and coaching staff. 616-254-1671
Week 10 PM - Kayak Snorkeling - NESS
Paddle and explore Little Narragansett Bay during the best months of the year. Kayak to estuaries, coves, islands, and other places where power boats are not able to go. Snorkel the warm waters of the harbor and the bay, while learning about local ecosystems and the species that inhabit them. Challenge your snorkeling skills by learning to free dive, using NESS fins. No previous kayaking experience is necessary, but an interest in the ocean, snorkeling, and kayaking is a must for this adventure week. Includes: snorkeling, kayaking & free diving 860-535-9362
