Summer Camp Music Festival - Chillicothe, IL
We are happy to announce we will be teaming up with Summer Camp Music Festival to host an ‘Art That Feeds’ Food Drive in Chillicothe, Illinois from May 22-24, 2015. All food donations will benefit the East Peoria Area Food Bank in Peoria, Illinois. One of our very talented artist is creating a Summer Camp event poster, which will be FREE to patrons who donate 20 non-perishable food items or a suggested monetary donation. Food donations will be collected at the Conscious Alliance ‘Art That Feeds’ Gallery, which will be depicted on the Summer Camp Festival guide and map. Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations to be low-sodium and health oriented products. ORGANIC food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the free poster. Thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry everywhere the music plays!

Students will play popular theatre games that focus on improvisation technique, pantomime, movement and storytelling. Growing Scientists: Nature Detectives - CuriOdyssey
Look through lenses, peek at a plant, or construct creations inspired by nature. Follow your nose through our garden, touch a tortoise, and search outdoors for clues to natures design. This camp encourages young scientists to explore the world using all five senses. Well explore nature through safe and exciting investigations of sound, light, texture, taste, and smell. Campers are sure to enjoy getting their hands dirty as they discover the sparkly, gooey, and stinky sides of science! The children will learn that their kitchen is filled with wonderful products that create some very explosive, gooey, slimy, fun and delicious science! We will build some unique items with basic things from our kitchen, make silly putty, arctic slime, and even play dough with your own scented design. Students build a sandcastle without ever stepping foot on the beach! They also change the properties of chocolate to make their very own chocolate bars!
