Week 2 AM - Kayak Fishing - NESS
This week is open to experienced kayakers and anglers who are ready to take their skills to the next level! Some of last years catches included porgies, snapper blues, pilot fish, trigger fish and even a remora! You never know exactly what will happen in this exciting class where we get to explore more closely some of the best inshore fishing spots. We will be teaching the basics of fishing from a kayak, tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. Includes: fishing & kayaking 860-535-9362

Young Physician - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring "Young Physician". If your child enjoys checking out the cool gadgets and models in the Pediatricians office, sign them up! Campers learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! They perform hands-on experiments as they learn about brains, taste buds, blood, muscles and bones, check heart rates and listen to their lungs with their very own stethoscope. Campers will extract DNA and learn about genetics, test for germs, build spinal column, ear drum and lung models. Camp Jr. Space Astronomer - Club ScientificLab
Camp Jr. Space Astronomer is designed for campers ages 6-8. Activities and experiments explore air and space travel, the Earth-Moon-Sun relationships, stars and galaxies. Special emphasis is placed on learning about the scientist related to an activity through Meet the Scientist and the science behind the activity through The Science Involved. The activities and experiments of each day at camp are arranged by scientific concept. Our camps are 9am-4pm with pre and post camp options available as well!
