Spiritual Emphasis: Our counselors take every opportunity to minister to the campers spiritual needs through Bible study and personal interaction. We seek to integrate a biblical worldview in all our time we spend together. We understand this is a great opportunity not only to ell the campers about Gods Word, but also to show them how it is related to everyday life. Paul said it well when he wrote, "For me to live is Christ." That is what we model here for our campers. Social Emphasis: We also understand the importance of your child meeting and learning to work together with other children and adults. We will help them learn positive ways to make friends and guide them in being friends to others. Teamwork will also be taught through various games and activities. Physical Emphasis: No couch potatoes here! We dont want our campers to just hang out and waste their day so we work at keeping them going. Whether its a day trip to Six Flags, making human ice cream sundaes, a rousing game of kickball, or a walk to the local park, there is never a dull moment at Cornerstone! ABOUT: Our featured speaker for this weekend will be Greg Gunter, Youth Pastor at Covenant Baptist Church in Romney, WV. Greg has a heart for young people and making sure they understand the Word of God in a practical way. This weekend, our theme is FOUNDATIONAL. All buildings are built upon a foundation. The foundation determines how well the structure will stand. You'll be challenged this weekend to look at what your life is built upon and what is the real foundation in your life. RETREAT COSTS: Register for the retreat on or before October 14 and the price is $59.00. The price for the retreat increases to $64.00 on registrations that come in after October 14. So, register soon! Scholarships are also available for this retreat upon request.

Guest Speaker: Pastor Rahshan Wall Schedule Friday - Worship 7pm Saturday - Outreach 9am & Worship 11am & Social Event 8:30pm-11pm Outreach Details Dress: Casual What are we doing? We will be distributing Blessing bags to the less fortunate at Fairmount Park in Riverside California. What would the Blessing Bags consist of? - Hygiene Products (no mouthwash) - Water Bottle - First Aid materials (no sharp objects) - Baby wipes - Wash cloth - Chapstick - Sunscreen - Nonperishable food items Who is responsible for providing blessing bags? Each student is encouraged to bring a blessing bag with them. You can trade in your bag for a Mercy Chronicles t-shirt on Friday night or Saturday morning before we head to the Park. Transportation: There will be a bus available for transportation to the park. Spaces will be available to those who pre-register first. Please note that you will need to bring along a chaperone for every 10 minors and permission slips will be strongly enforced. Registration Coming soon

Opti 2 - Sailing, Tennis, & Seamanship ( Intermediate ) Eligibility AYC Jr Sailing is open to all children regardless of membership status. Admittance in the 2s class is based on their ability and performance in Opti 1s, and demonstration of adequate swimming skills for safety purposes. Or beginners in the Opti 2 age range, 10-12. Sailing The Opti 2 Sailing class builds on the 1s mastery of the basic skills of sailing. Participants will work on developing advanced sailing skills. A Opti 2 sailor will be able to master basic knots, have a strong understanding of the parts of the boat and sail and their effects on powering and de-powering the boat. Sailors will have a constant awareness of the wind, be able to trim for different points of sail and conditions, have an awareness of body position relative to wind and wave conditions, and consistently use tiller extension.
