CBA Winter Youth Camp - Goose Creek, SC
The Charleston Baseball Academy Winter Youth Camp will be held Saturday, December 3 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Charleston Baseball Academy at Dennis Park. ages 8u-14U This camp will be instructed by the CBA Staff which includes former college coach Jason Murray, Stan Kowalski, Sean Leyland, Donavan Campbell, Scott Sandman along with special guest James Reeves, LHP with the New York Yankees Organization. Other coaches will also be present. The Winter Youth Camp will give the players a chance to learn from the top coaches and players in the game of baseball today. Our focus is on the fundamentals and how to prepare and learn to practice correctly to become a better player. Parents and youth coaches are welcome to attend for FREE! A camp for kids that will teach them some survival skills in addition to fitness, character building, team work and problem solving skills. Oh yeah, we will have some fun as well. Monday through Friday from 9am until 2pm. Ages 6 to 10. $175 for the week. Family discounts available as well as a discount for current Rockpile students.
Summer Kids/Teen CrossFit Camp - Gig Harbor, WA
Join us for the kick off to our Summer Kids/Teen CrossFit Camp. We will be doing baseline measurements to test speed, explosiveness, and strength. Then re test every 5 weeks. A makeup test will be performed on Tuesday, Maybe 21st at 4:30pm. Your child should arrive on time, with proper attire and footwear. Flat bottom shoes are preferred for lifting. They should be well hydrated and have eaten. They should also bring a water bottle. We have water to fill their bottles, but will not provide cups. We will go the full hour each day. We will split out time between inside and outside, so sunscreen may be needed. Parents and driving teens, please drive careful when coming up Foster, especially across the Cushman trail cross walk. Also, be aware of clients from classes before and after the camp coming and going. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and across the street in the grassy field.

Learn to turn your favorite photos into artful fabric landscapes. In this class you will create a realistic fabric landscape by choosing appropriate fabrics and making free-motion machine stitches. You will be taught how to make patterns for your picture, learn many artistic points, learn how to stitch picture details, receive a reference booklet and plenty of individual help. After taking this class you will have a completed, or nearly completed fabric landscape! Students must bring their own sewing machine (for the second and third sessions) and have a basic ability to use the free-motion mode. Be sure your machine is in great working condition. No painting is involved, but you will be an artist with just fabric and thread! Supply list: • Your photo • A black and white copy of the photo enlarged to the size you wish to make in fabric. • Scissors for paper • Pen or fine tipped marker • Tracing paper • Optional: Fabrics you may use, but you will learn about fabric choice and know more clearly what to use after the first session • NOTE: at the first session you will learn what other supplies you will need, such as stabilizer, kinds... 239-939-2787
