The year of 2016 is slowly, but surely, coming to end, and the new year of 2017 is rolling in. Join us as we remember the Old and celebrate the New on December 30th through January 2nd. Bryte Youth is doing something different by hosting this New Year up in the mountains, in the midst of the beautiful, God given nature. These four days will be spent with fellowship, worship, and a time to reflect about the previous year and pray over the new one. The focus of our topic will be Emmanuel: God is with us. Over the course of four days, you will all have an opportunity to discover where and when God has been with us, and how His guiding hand has led us all along. Of course, these four days will also be action packed with various activities. For those of you who want to relax, no worries. Spend the four days lounging in the cozy cabins, or go on a walk and taking in the beautiful scenery. Kid's Day Camp (Mom's Day Out!) - Searcy, AR
You may drop children off for a 1/2 day or full day camp experience. Morning camp will consist of an acrylic 16 X 20 painting winter scene along with a hands-on activity. For the afternoon session, children will start with another hands-on craft with a smaller canvas painting. Children may be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up by 11:45 a.m. or drop off at 12:30 p.m. and picked up at 3:00 p.m. If you opt for full day (9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.), your child(ren) will get to participate in both morning and afternoon activities. The cost for the day camp for 1/2 day is $35 for the full day will be $65. If staying the entire day, we will provide sausage, pepperoni, or cheese pizza with a drink, or you may bring your own sack lunch.

Kids day camp for the week of Aug 22nd through Aug. 26th Ages 7 through 12 - or first grade and up. Camp runs Monday through Thursday- 9:30am to 3:30pm Children should pack a lunch or bring money to buy food at the Subway in our parking lot. Before and after care are available for an additional fee - see below. Camp must be pre-registered. There are no refunds however arrangements can be made to transfer registration to a different child. Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the crusades and beyond to the 16th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time and culture of Knighthood. This this course we will focus on the Battle of Agincourt.... a decisive time in history. The invasion took a muster of troops... a ship voyage... and then an overland campaign. This past year saw the Anniversary celebration of the Battle at European battle sites and museums. In addition... Elem Super Scratch Week 3 - Merrill Engineering Building
We cannot get enough of Scratch and neither can our campers! This week-long 9AM-3PM day camp for entering 5th, 6th, and 7th graders (note the year older shift from the other Scratch camps) is a follow-on to the Beginning and Advanced Scratch camps. This camp looks at even more advanced topics and dives into more complex projects, finishing with a chance for participants to polish their projects under the guidance of our experienced instructors. Attendees should be enthusiastic about Scratch, self-motivated, and able to handle the longer day. Students should have completed the beginning and advanced camp prior to taking the Super Scratch camp or had some equivalent training. This camp runs from 9AM-3PM. Lunch is provided. 801-585-1726

If youve ever wanted to design a play jungle for hamsters, a four-story luxury dog house, or the coolest cat castle the world has ever seen, this class is for you! In this workshop, well use Design Thinking to research, invent, and prototype new solutions for happier pets. Come prepared to create, think about animals, and build a pet utopia! Instructor Bio: Rei Jackler is an Oakland arts educator, design teacher, writer, and maker nerd. She holds a Masters in Teaching from Stanford University, where she also trained in Design Thinking at the D.School. In Oakland, she is currently Makerspace Manager for the La Escuelita Elementary School Makerspace, and has also taught design with Chapter 510. Rei loves making of all kinds: knitting multi-colored scarves, writing fantastical short stories, and baking with a lot of chocolate. Summer Stretch Yoga Camp: Beach Theme - Marine Park Building
Weekly Theme: Beach Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water. Magical Adventures – Little Superheroes - The Oakwood School
Learn to throw webs like Spiderman, join the superheroes to save a princess, stop the worry monsters and more when you take magical adventures with your favorite superheroes. These exciting activity, relaxation, and mindfulness classes creatively engage the campers imaginations with exciting themes and superhero missions. Through play, crafts, and guided stories, children will learn some basic relaxation techniques and simple mindfulness skills, such as the superheros mindful listening (focusing on a particular sound or listening to see how many different sounds we hear), mindful seeing (like Superman—focusing on seeing things we had not noticed), and mindful breathing (paying attention to our own breathing). Superheroes are known for their ability to focus their superpowers and use them for compassion. Congressman Tim Ryan says, "Mindfulness will help children to pay attention and be kind to themselves and others as they swim in a world of distraction and aggression."
