Wearable technology is becoming more and more popular everyday, especially when devices such as fit bits and apple watches exist. However, what if we were to incorporate technology into fashion? In this class, students will learn to invent and create a functional wearable garment, such as a shirt that lights up when reacting to sound, light, or temperature. Students will combine technology & fashion to create great looking, interactive wearables. This class will incorporate sewing, electronics, and fundamental programming. Race for the Campers 5K, 10K, and Kid's 1 Mile Adventure Runs - Trout
Get a taste of what Camp Jonah has to offer its campers in these 10k, 5k, and kid’s 1 mile adventure runs; with all proceeds going directly to camp scholarships to help get kids to camp! If you like your races with a little more "fun" than "run" Jonah’s 5k obstacle run is the race for you. Test your limits by wading through mud pits, scaling climbing walls, conquering inflatable obstacles, dodging flying water balloons, and battling many more surprises along the way. Win the race to be crowned camp King or Queen. Be sure to bring your messy clothes/shoes, you may get dirty! For the more serious runners we recommend our 10k scenic run exploring the beauty of Trout Lake. With Mount Adams as your backdrop, this is a race is one you won’t want to miss. Summer Kids/Teen CrossFit Camp - Gig Harbor, WA
Join us for the kick off to our Summer Kids/Teen CrossFit Camp. We will be doing baseline measurements to test speed, explosiveness, and strength. Then re test every 5 weeks. A makeup test will be performed on Tuesday, Maybe 21st at 4:30pm. Your child should arrive on time, with proper attire and footwear. Flat bottom shoes are preferred for lifting. They should be well hydrated and have eaten. They should also bring a water bottle. We have water to fill their bottles, but will not provide cups. We will go the full hour each day. We will split out time between inside and outside, so sunscreen may be needed. Parents and driving teens, please drive careful when coming up Foster, especially across the Cushman trail cross walk. Also, be aware of clients from classes before and after the camp coming and going. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and across the street in the grassy field.

July 25-28: Volcanoes Rock! (Ages 5-6) - Mountain Kids!
New Mexico is one of the best places on earth to see volcanic rock formations and many types of rocks. We will travel to see volcanic tuff and learn how it was formed by a two volcanic eruptions more than a million years ago. We will go to the Valles Caldera to see the source of the eruption and participate in a service project there on a long day trip. We will learn the three types of rocks, play games with rocks, sing rock songs and make some rockin art! 505-699-6230

Rock n Roll Explorations Camp - OCS Arts Center
Rock instruments, vocals, songwriting, recordings, and CD design! An action-packed week for boys and girls. No previous experience necessary. Great for campers with Beginning Guitar experience! Campers will bring their own guitar or bass or we provide keyboard or drums.
