What Are the Activities like at Summer Camp?
The whole point of summer programs is to keep youth busy. Thus, most kids wake up and have breakfast by 8am. Traditional activities include arts and crafts, sports, swimming and boating. There are groups that offer specialized or advanced activities like archery, horseback riding, and sailing. An activity like horseback riding may have an additional cost or require that youth come to camp with special equipment and clothing.

LEGO Jedi Builders - North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
Construct and build settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. Campers will take flight as we design and build LEGO® X-Wings. Join Play-well TEKnologies as campers use their imaginations to combine engineering projects to create R2-units and shield generators to protect their settlements on worlds far, far away. Teachers will focus on strengthening the students technique and improving technical skill. Once students are equipped with the appropriate skills, they will feel confident in transforming their ideas and personal style into tangible art pieces. Class Objective: Students will be provided tools to transform their concept sketches into fully fleshed out artistic creations. Instructor Kim Agnew is a multi-disciplined dancer, choreographer and dance educator teaching all over the greater Bay Area including, Head Royce, dance and music outreach with the San Francisco Ballet and 13 summers with Marin Ballet. As many students repeat dance in ASP, off campus or during the regular school day, they begin to have creative dance ideas of their own. In this class, Kim will guide the dancers in creating their own group choreography using the dance skills they bring to class as well as learning some new ones. New dancers have great ideas too and are more than welcome to join class. The dancers really have to work as a team, try each others ideas and see what their moves look like when someone else executes it. Campers in grades 5-12 with all skill levels are welcomed to join the ASU hitting coaches and players as the program hosts weekly hitting camps. Dates camps will be held; 2/24 and 3/9 from 5:30-6:30. The 2015 Sun Devil Softball Hitting Camps are designed to develop softball hitting skills! This camp features hitting drills and instruction with campers offering the opportunity to take part in hitting rotations and instruction. Campers may be divided into groups by age. Each camper will receive 1 hour of instruction each night the camper attends. Meals will not be provided, so campers should pack adequate snacks and drinks. A break will be scheduled for hydration and nutrition. Camp is open to any and all campers that meet the grade requirements.
