Where Will My Child Sleep at Summer Camp?
Different camps have different types of accommodations. Some groups have kids sleeping in well-ventilated cabins whereas others have air-conditioned dorm rooms. Bathrooms could be in cabin or in a nearby wash house. There are also programs that have youth sleeping in tents outside. An organization’s mission often dictates the sleeping arrangements. For example, a 4-H or Girl Scout group may want campers to be outdoors to learn important survival skills whereas an academic camp may want youth inside so they can focus on their work.

CYC Camp Rosenthal's 1st Annual Women's Wellness Retreat - Dowagiac, M
Chicago Youth Centers’ Camp Rosenthal is excited to announce its first annual Women's Wellness Retreat April 29th - May 1st 2016. As 21st century women we are constantly juggling the responsibilities of family, work and school. We all deserve some time out for ourselves. Why not take some time to re-connect with yourself and enjoy the fellowship of womanhood at our beautiful camp in Southwestern Michigan. Our women’s only weekend retreat will give you an opportunity to relax in a beautiful and inviting environment, reconnect with your inner self through art, meditation and reflection and allow plenty of time to appreciate sisterhood and enjoy pampering yourself. The weekend package includes lodging, meals and a full program of women centered activities for an all-inclusive fee of $125 per person. Bring a friend and get $5 off the cost of the weekend. All proceeds from the weekend go to our Camper Scholarships Fund that provides life changing experiences for inner city youth. Youth Horse Camp - Ironton, OH
3 days 2 nights of horse chaos. 25 kids from ages 5-19, we do everything from the ground up. They will go over tack and functions, safety, ground manners, basic riding to advanced depending on skill levels. Students will be asked to step outside their comfort zone and try other disciplines. There will be games, and the occasional water fight. We camp in tents, cook out, and just have a good time. 100 per camper.

Singing for the Stage and Beyond - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This class is designed to introduce and strengthen the fundamentals of voice/singing for the adult voice. Students will learn proper breathing placement and projection techniques, as well as technical and interpretive principles. In addition, students will learn to select and prepare songs for their particular voices. Limited to ages 17 and older. INSTRUCTOR BIO: BEVERLEY BENDA, a professional singer by trade, is a classical soprano with The United States Army Band Pershings Own, and Programming NCO and Script Writer for their Public Affairs Office. She has performance and teaching degrees from James Madison University, Eastern Illinois University, and The Eastman School of Music, and has appeared in a variety of musical productions including Brigadoon, Carmen, Carousel, Oklahoma!, Kismet, The Pirates of Penzance, Dialogue of the Carmelites, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, Hollywood Pinafore, Its A Grand Night for Singing, and the first revival of Call Me Mister. A private voice teacher and vocal coach, her class at LTA is the longest-running in the theaters history. She is also on the LTA Board of Governor and is an award-winning costumer. 7036835778 x2
Shooting Basics - Next Level Gym
Shooting Basics is the first of 3 programs under the Shooting Fundamentals Series. Designed to help athletes develop or improve their shooting form. Shooting Basics will teach players correct footwork, body positioning and ball placement as they execute shots from various positions on the court. Step in shots, shots off the dribble and off the catch will be the concentration in this program. Players will also work on range shooting and free throw positioning and routine. Each player will build the muscle memory to consistently shoot with control and confidence. Once players complete this program they will be able to enroll in the second program under the Shooting Fundamentals Block - Shot Breakdown. Program consists of 6 - 1 hour sessions. Growing Scientists: Animal Adventures Why are some animals furry and others feathered? How does a snail move? What does an owl eat? Have an up close and personal encounter with some of the animals at CuriOdyssey and learn about their amazing adaptations such as how they eat, where they sleep, and where to find them in nature. Go on an adventure to find tiny creatures living around Coyote Point Recreation Area. The world of animals will be revealed in this wild and wooly, slippery and scaly camp! Growing Scientists must be at least 3 years old by June 1, 2016, potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently.
