This exciting camp will introduce campers to different sports/activities each day and will teach them the basics with fun drills, games and activities from our experienced and energetic staff. This is a great way for kids to experience many different sports, keep them active, and allow them to have fun with others in a structured and organized camp, regardless of skill level or previous knowledge. Them One Guys Car Club is hosting our 5th annual fundraiser car show on Saturday, June 11th 2016 in K-Mart parking lot at 4651 S. US HWY 41 in Terre Haute, IN 47802. All proceeds will be donated to Boy Scout Troop 504 to help them pay for camp and other trips and supplies. Troop 504 will have a free will donation concession stand and are hand making the awards to be given to the winner of each class. The winners of each class will be determined by the spectators' popular vote and there will also be a scouts choice award which will be determined by the popular vote of Boy Scouts of any troop who come to the car show with their BSA membership card or Class A shirt on. Nasimco Youth Leadership Retreat 2016 - Fruitland Park, FL
NASIMCO is pleased to announce the 2016 Youth Leadership Retreat with the theme of “Thinking Outside the Box: Making Your Voice Count!” This year the retreat will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida. It is an initiative led by youth with the vision of creating a forum for dialogue to enhance the ability of participants to think outside the box, engage in self-reflection, become socially conscious and have the confidence to act upon it in their local and global communities. This year’s retreat is hosted by the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida, INC. at the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in sunny Fruitland Park, Florida. The retreat will combine facilitated workshops, debates, dialogue and recreational activities in order to optimize learning opportunities for all participants. It will take place during the Labour Day weekend, from September 2nd to September 5th, 2016. The intended participants are all youth ages 18 to 25. Mates (WAITLIST) T,TH ($260 for 2 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
NOTE: Please only select this session if the weeks you would like your child to attend are not available on the Mates session. Please choose 2 weeks minimum. A class designed to introduce young children to sailing. Students will sail in a 14-foot sailboat, with three to four other children and one instructor. The class is a fun introduction to sailing with the goal of having students become comfortable in small boats. Specific skills include basic concepts of sail trim, steering and overall safety. Machines and Mechanisms Grades 3-5 (Friday) - Janney Elementary School
Students work in small groups to explore pulleys, gears, and levers. They complete problem solving activities using physics and math and work on structures that require precision. On each day of our ___ week camp, students will create two different dishes, develop kitchen techniques, and learn about the various cultures our recipes originate from through stories or crafts. Spring Advanced Junior Golf School Ages: 13-17 $75 Registration Fee Monday, March 28th – Thursday, March 31st 1:00pm -3:30pm This Golf School will focus solely on instruction and fundamentals of executing each golf shot. Video analysis of each shot will be recorded and reviewed and sent to the student for future review.
