Campers will learn how to make several delicious and fun dishes. Meals are prepared and our restaurant opens at the end of the week for family and friends. This camp features delectable competitions with plenty of challenges. Specialty Camp Cancellation Policy A full refund of fees, less a $20 cancellation fee, will be granted if the request is made by the Thursday prior to the start of the camp week. If the request is made after the Thursday prior to the start of the camp week but before the first day, a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee, will be granted. A prorated refund of fees, less a $20 cancellation fee, will be granted to students who attend the first class if the request is made before the second camp day. Students who transfer from one camp to another will be charged a $20 transfer fee. If a student transfers to a class taught by the same instructor as the original camp, no transfer fee will be applied. Beyond Your Best Books - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
This session will allow kids to convert their favorite stories into keepsake crafts using the process of upcycling. This experience will teach the importance of repurposing through creativity while encouraging conversations about the value and importance of literature in our lives. Participants will create several items from old books chosen for this purpose. While creating these items, we will discuss their favorite stories, the most fascinating characters, and why books and upcycling are important. *Participants will need to bring 3 hardback books of their choice; books that are in disrepair or those which would otherwise be recycled are recommended. Favorite childrens books are especially useful. Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments. She is a former Girl Scout leader; enjoys books, cooking, baking; and loves all things outdoors.
