Planet earth is an amazing place full of fascinating creatures! Students will explore the land, sky & ocean while creating art depicting some of their favorite creatures & landscapes. Dont be surprised when you see elephants, giraffes, horses & a Picasso inspired rooster appear during the week. Animals from all over the world will be drawn, painted & created from clay in this camp designed for animal lovers! Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp. Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Beginning Burlesque with Sasha Sullivan - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Burlesque is a celebration of femininity. Women of all ages come together for a fun-filled journey into this incredible art form, ultimately empowering their creative, sensual, feminine beings. Telluride Theatres own Sasha Sullivan and Melissa Harris, who have been teaching burlesque classes for four years, are excited take new students on an eight-week journey into the world of burlesque. They will start with the basics – the history, dance moves, striptease, creating a character, and owning your space. Students will develop their very own burlesque character and walk away with a full routine, a set of pasties, and a portrait. At the close of the class, some students will be chosen to perform at BURLESQUE, a live variety show on the Sheridan Opera House stage at the end of March, a benefit for Telluride Theatre. Beginning Hands on Clay - UWF Main Campus
Clay is a great way to have fun and get creative. No experience needed. Students will be introduced to techniques with hand building and throwing basic forms on the potters wheel. They will create dynamic surface decorations using glazes, slips and applied elements. Please wear clothes you dont mind getting dirty and bring a towel. Camps will include all necessary supplies.
