This Girl Scout Camp is nestled in nature’s paradise between meadows, woodlands and a beach area. My 11 year old daughter loves to participate in archery, swimming, kayaking, crafts, boating and hiking. She has developed a love for nature along with improved social skills. Hosted this month by Camp Barnabas, providing us a FREE lunch at their office location in Springfield! Leaders will have the opportunity to "connect" with other youth leaders in ministry, and to share ideas and resources! Bring printed material on events you would like to promote to share with the group. You will hear about some great opportunities for ministry through this camp for special needs students. This will also be our "elections" business session at 11:15 prior to lunch. All voting members are encouraged to be present. Also, those who want may join the Coordinator to be praying for our campuses, students, and leaders about 30 min. prior to the start. Stories and songs such as "Bye Bye Binky," " No More Diapers," and "No More Monsters," will be shared to make transitioning for parent and child a fun experience.

Skits, Scenes, and In-betweens - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
Students will learn the fine art of comedic acting in these humorous and fun short scenes. Getting to choose from a variety of short skits, the performers will learn about comic timing and delivery as they rehearse for a final presentation. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. He has directed shows at Aldersgate and MVCCT. John can be seen in the motion picture Talk To Me starring Don Cheadle and was featured on Investigative Discovery show Who The Bleep!. FOR CAMPERS WITH INDIAN CREEK CHRISTIAN CHURCH GROUP ONLY. Any misplaced registrants will be removed from this session. Younger campers need a lot of reassurance and unconditional love, and that is exactly what they get at 7/11 Camp. For many kids, 7/11 Camp will be their first experience away from home. So, every action-packed 7/11 day hums with words of love and encouragement sung by a staff hand-picked for their Christ-like patience and sensitivity. Counselors coach and praise the kids while they learn and explore through games, pool activities, and much more. Each activity leads to greater confidence and character building. Counselor training builds moral and spiritual application into each and every activity session. The 7/11 leadership staff creatively share the importance of a life lived for Christ through themed events at night, 7/11 worship, nightly devotionals, and one-on-one time getting to know your child. You and your team will compete throughout the week playing fun minute to win it games, as well as other exciting competitions. See if your team can race to the top of the leader board! Our field trip will be to the sensational City Museum in St. Louis, MO.
